Cowee Baptist Church Leadership

	Pastor: Rev. David Powell david@coweebaptist.org Pastor David was called to Cowee in May 2007. His previous pastorate was Webster Baptist Church, in Jackson County, NC. Pastor David graduated from the Honors College at Western Carolina University prior to pursuing his Master of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University.He also serves in numerous capacities in the Christian community – presently on the Angel Home Health and Hospice Board, the Board of Church Relations at Mars Hill College, and as Vice Chair of the Macon County CareNet Board. Pastor David is married to Lindsey Deitz Powell, a Macon County school teacher.
	Minister of Students and Families: Rev. Jason Smith jason@coweebaptist.org Jason was called to Cowee in March 2009 to serve as Minister of Students and Families. He previously served as Youth Minister of Cartoogechaye Baptist Church, in Macon County, NC. Jason also serves as the Youth Ministry Director of the Macon Baptist Association and is a graduate of Western Carolina University. Jason is married to Sherry Gibson Smith and together they are the proud parents of Hope Ann and Grant Jason.
	Minister of Care and Outreach: Rev. Ronnie Branson ronnie@coweebaptist.org Ronnie was called to Cowee in November 2009 to assist with the pastoral care of the congregation and to aid with the church's senior adults and inreach/outreach ministries. He previously served on staff of Highlands First Baptist and is a former chaplain assistant at Wake Forest Hospital and Dorothea Dix Hospital. Ronnie is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Susan Baldwin Branson and they are the parents of three children, Rebecca, MaryClaire and John.
	Children's Ministry Assistant: Mrs. Cyndi Bohner cyndi@coweebaptist.org Cyndi came to Cowee in November 2011 to serve as Children's Ministry Assistant. She was previously employed for nine years by Macon Baptist Association. She has worked on a volunteer and paid basis in church children's ministries, and has been employed in the Macon County School's after school program. Cyndi is a graduate of Hillsborough Community College and is also a licensed Kindermusik educator and interpreter for the deaf. She is married to David Bohner and they are the parents of one child, Justin.
